All About Lainey

Lainey Bodenburg's design journey began in her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio when she was randomly assigned to her high school theater program's costume department where she quickly fell in love with the craft. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design with a minor in Costume Design & Technology from Kent State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Bodenburg is now a proud resident of Cleveland, Ohio.

From the beginning of her career, she has worn several hats within the costume world, earning credits as Costume Designer, Wardrobe Supervisor, and Stitcher. While designing is her passion, she is also a skilled seamstress and illustrator.

Bodenburg's design process is rooted in her research. Creating detailed renderings and mood boards is essential to her process to create a fully realized costume plot. She also believes organization is key to a successful design, adapting her process to fit the needs of each new project. Having worked on productions both large and small, she is prepared to execute a complete design with her wide skill set.
